The Onsite Consultation, Explained

Some rooms cannot be judged from photos. Ceiling height, natural light, the colour of your walls at 4 p.m. — these change what the right lighting decision is. The Onsite Consultation brings an Iluce lighting designer to your door for two full hours of advice in the space itself.

What happens during the visit

Your designer walks the rooms with you and works through your list where it matters: in the room. Fixture choices and sizes, judged against your actual ceilings and furniture. Placement — where light should come from, not just where the junction boxes happen to be. The layers your rooms are missing, and the dimming and controls that will make the light feel right in the evening. You get straight answers, in context, and a clear sense of what to do next — whether that is a short list of changes or the starting point for a full lighting plan.

Zones and pricing

The consultation is two hours, priced by distance from the boutique:

  • $300 — Montreal, Laval and Brossard (within 25 km of the boutique)
  • $475 — North-Shore and South-Shore (within 50 km)
  • $580 — North-Shore and South-Shore (within 125 km)

Need more time on site? Extra time is billed at $150 per hour. The price is set by distance, so you know the full cost before you buy — no surprises afterwards.

How to book

Purchase the consultation online, and we contact you to schedule the visit. Tell us in advance what you want to cover — a whole home, a renovation in progress, or the two rooms that never feel right — and we will come prepared for exactly that. If your project grows beyond advice, your consultation becomes the natural first step toward a custom lighting plan, with the same team.

At any stage of the project

The visit works wherever you are: before you buy a single fixture, in the middle of a renovation while the walls are still open, or in a finished home that has never felt right. Early is cheapest — decisions made standing in the room, before anything is ordered or wired, are the ones that never need to be unmade. But even a completed space usually needs only a handful of wellchosen changes, and two hours in it will find them.
